German Bloodlines Made in America
In 1998, the Fu's family's passion for Morgan Horses led them to Kentucky, where they acquired 300 acres of serene rolling bluegrass land. This land was christened Dragonsmeade, which would later also become the home of Drache Feld Kennels in 1999. A successful breeding program of honesty, quality, and integrity was implemented for both the horse and dog programs. At this juncture, Charlie Starr was appointed to oversee the breeding of German Shepherds, which would represent Drache Feld. The first star born was named Dragon vom Drache Feld.
Our values remain steadfast, as we strive to breed German Shepherds with exceptional temperament, character, and structured traits, adhering to the German standard. Every litter is meticulously planned to meet our high expectations of what a German Shepherd was bred to accomplish in the show ring, on the field, in part of the family. Our breeding dogs undergo rigorous selection processes, including certified hip and elbow clearances, temperament testing, working titles, show ratings, and breed surveys.
